STERLING SILVER GILT BASKETS, 1897, PAIR, H 3", L 11":Each of oval shape and pierced overall with scrolls, flanked by pierced handles, raised on four scrolled feet; engraved period script monogram at the well. Stamped "Howard & Co./Sterling/New York/1897" at the underside. Measuring H.3 1/4" x 11 1/4" x 8". Totaling approximately 39.8 troy oz. From the Collection of Baroness Maud Von Kettler who married Baron Von Kettler in 1890. He was stationed at the Chinese embassy.
