JAPANESE SATSUMA EARTHENWARE VASE, H 12", DIA 7":Having elaborate enameled traditional Satsuma motifs, including chrysanthemums and a shi-shi along with decoration of figures, both human and mythical, about the body of the vessel. Marked on the underside with the mark for the Yasuda Co., the mon of the Shimazu family and a four characters in gold within a red and gold square over the glaze.
