AFRICAN SHORT SWORD AND DAGGER, 19TH C, 2 PCS. , L 10" & 15" BLADES:includes: one Antique Shona Wire Decorated Short Sword - Bakatwa 19th century, the double edged blade is 315mm (12 1/2") distinctive carved wooden hilt with cone shaped pommel with wire wrap, the grip is also bound with two bands intricate brass wirework, it is complete with it's original carved wood sheath, with cone shape tip, it is also bound with four bands of intricate brass wirework; second piece is a North African dagger with 10" double edged blade and carved antelope horn style wood hilt, woven snake skin and tooled leather sheath, 19th c.
