DRESDEN PORCELAIN URN, CARL THIEME, C. 1888-1901, H 33":Urn, cover and separate base. Cover is surmounted by two allegorical figures amongst raised flowers. Central urn 28" is decorated with large reserve of court scene with the crowning of cupid. Shoulders are surmounted by two winged cherubs on each side. Raised fruit and flowers in full relief adorn urn. Marked at the underside with T above crossed swords for Carl Thieme Factory, Saxonian Porcelain, Potschappel, circa 1888-1901. From a prominent Grosse Pointe Farms estate.
