The strip refers to a fictitious Maumee University which was the logic for the inscription on the bottom by Caniff: "For the city of Maumee, Ohio- in the hope that Maumee University will soon be a reality - "Milton Caniff", New York and The Toledo Blade March 1954". With "12-2" date in lower right corner of the last drawing; All framed and matted under glass. 20' x 24";
