A pierced and carved giltwood mirror in the English Rococo style of the George III period (1738-1820), the frame comprising a central carved crest with c-scrolls and rocaille motifs surmounted by a carved leaf finial, each side decorated with pierced and carved rocaille ornamentation with c-scrolls, vines, cabochons, and foliate and shell motifs, all flanking the rectangular glass mirror. Approximate height 47", width 26.5", depth 1.5".
