Copeland & Garrett (English, 1833-1847), second quarter 19th century. A fine museum quality Copeland & Garrett porcelain hand painted plate entitled 'The Roller', the circular plate having an interlaced lattice white and gilt border on bleu roi ground, to the center a hand painted bird with blue teal plumage and brown back perched with wings spread on a leafy branch within a floral painted border. Marked and titled to the backside 'The Roller' with Copeland & Garrett hallmark in green underglaze. Approximate diameter 9.25".
