ALEXANDER CALDER (1898-1976), GOUACHE & WATERCOLOR, 1974, 43" X 29", "EMPIRE STATE": Depicting balloons. Signed and dated. Watermark at edge of paper: 'Canson & Montgolfter'. Floated in frame. Provenance: Purchased from Gallery at the Kingsley (Bloomfield Hills, MI, Harry Weinstein owner) and having their label with title, medium and size on back side of framing. Family owned ever since and probably purchased it in the 1970's. Chop mark far LR corner. Has not been shown to the Calder Foundation.
