Rare New Haven, Connecticut silk on linen needlework sampler , inscribed "Mary Harris Sampler Wrought in the 11th year of her age, This work was schooled under the tuition of M. Spencer 1832" with bands of alphabets over verse and large basket of flowers, butterfly, and bird, all over the depiction of The Old Brick Row of Yale College within a vine and star border, 16 3/4" x 17 1/4".
