Continental, 19th century. Louis XVI style walnut carved settee, the rectangular back carved with continuous rosettes with downswept padded arms and figural winged Empire style sphinx supports over a similarly carved apron raised on turned, tapered and fluted legs headed with patera blocks. The padded back and seat covered in millefleurs style tapestry decorated with animals. Height 38.25", width 49" (arm to arm), seat depth 19", seat height 15".
