SEVRES LOUIS PHILIPPE PORCELAIN LUNCHEON SET, C. 1846, 55 PIECES, CHATEAU OF FONTAINEBLEAU:Including 19 luncheon plates at 9 3/8", 12 salad plates at 7 3/4", 12 teacups, and 12 saucers. Each is decorated in arabesques of foliage with animal figures intertwined, separated by oval and diamond reserves of emblems and the royal cipher about the borders. Luncheon plates feature the crowned sunburst Chateau de F.Bleau mark, with the crowned 'LP' monogram mark in blue. The salad plates are marked at the underside with crossed arrows in blue, and the teacups/saucers are unmarked. Circa 1839 to 1847.
