ENGLISH PEAR WOOD FITTED VANITY TABLE, C. 1914, H 33", W 14", D 11 1/2":A hinged and compartmented vanity table with interior label which reads "Mappin & Webb, 158.162 Oxford St. W.", London (see additional photo). Includes 2 glass bottles and 1 oblong bowl with English sterling silver rims, 1 round bowl, 18 vanity accessories including scissors, nail file, cuticle remover, etc., many with celluloid handles. English sterling hallmarks include a lion passant, uncrowned leopard and date letter "S" indicating London, 1913-14, and maker's mark for George Betjeman & Sons (see additional photo).
