ENGLISH SILVER & EGLOMISE PORTRAIT SNUFF BOX, C. 1710, L 2 7/8", QUEEN ANNE:Oval form, having a glazed cover with beveled edge painted on the reverse with a portrait of Queen Anne, within a silver frame; the silver base is hallmarked with a lion passant and maker's mark "AH" surmounted by a crown (see additional photo), unidentified, circa 1700 [Ref.: "The Book of Old Silver" by Seymour B. Wyler, copyright 1979, p.212], gold wash interior. Measures H.1/2" x 2 7/8" x 2".
