Landscape painting depicting the quaint village in northeastern England on a sunny day with many figures and cows walking down a wide stone street at center flanked to right by charming stone buildings with gabled roofs and open windows, the street flanked at left by the tall four spired belfry of the Dedham Parish Church set behind an expanse of tall green trees. Two period labels to verso of board, one likely of the artist's hand with identification of geographical location of scene, the other a fragment of a dealer label. Framed approximately 19.875” x 23.75”. Unframed approximately 12” x 16”.
