Missoni Vintage 1980s Brown Ribbed Sweater Dress

Missoni (Italian, founded 1930), circa 1980s. A designer alpaca and wool blend ladies sweater dress in chocolate brown with an overlapping mock turtleneck neckline and long sleeves, a wide ribbed waistline with a front tying string tie woven through it at center, and a widely ribbed and cross-woven straight skirt flaring at bottom. Orange label to interior neckline "Missoni, Made in Italy" over a white label "Made in Italy for Bonwit Teller", and a further white label giving material composition. Size unlisted, approximately a US size 6. Width across shoulders (unstretched) approximately 14.75", length back seam of collar to hem approximately 42.5".
