Painting depicting a view of Zugspitze, the highest peak of the Wetterstein Mountains as well as the highest mountain in Germany, in spring time with snow capped jagged mountain peaks in front of a green landscape with evergreens, a small stream, small white wildflowers and rustic mountain homesteads. Verso of stretcher with typed label at top that reads "Zugspitze mit Schneeferner, Gekauft 8.Juli.1943, 4900.-RM" above stamped mark "KUNSTHANDLUNG LUDWIG WEIDENER".
