Two Large Capo-di-Monte-type Faience Ewers, 20th century, the bodies heavily molded with figures flanking a fleur-de-lys roundel, one with central band of mermaids and sea creatures, twisted serpent handle, merman figure opposing short spout, with entwined serpent stem, accented with masks and seashells, ht. 16 3/4, the other with bacchantes, scroll and leopard head handle, satyr opposing spout, twisted stem with further leopard heads, accented with masks and fruit, ht. 17 1/4 in. Provenance: Barrimore Collection.
