Set of Six Haviland for Burley & Tyrrell, Chicago, Hand-painted Nursery Rhyme Dessert Plates , no. 14-19, each depicting a scene from a nursery rhyme on the front with two lines from the rhyme describing the scene on the back, three showing the last three out of four verses of "The Queen of Hearts," showing the Knave of Hearts stealing her tarts, the other set depicting the first three verses of "Jack and Jill," (some gilt and paint loss, one with rim chip), wd. 8 in.
