Huanghuali Compound Cabinet, China, Ming period (1368-1644), with marble panels, (hardware replaced), wd. 42 5/8, ht. 103 3/4, dp. 19 7/8 in. Age typical defects; boths sides heavily split from top to bottom, surface on the back (unfinished) has heavily deteriorated, small 2 in. patch to the top edge, and a 2 and 3 in. patch on side edge. On the top section, there is a crack to the bottom left marble, three small patches to the right hand door, one small patch to the left door.
