In full custom crushed green morocco by Zaehnsdorf, gilt in intricate patterns on the spine and both boards, inner gilt dentelles, silk end leaves, signed by the individual binder with a small black pictorial stamp depicting a binder at his work bench within an oval impressed at the foot inside the back board, on the silk paste down; with the recipient's interwoven initials tooled in gold on the front board, a.e.g., in very good condition, 6 3/4 x 4 3/4 in. The inscription reads: "To Madge Kendal Grimston, this fanciful history of the rise of the Robertsonian drama, from her old friend and faithful servant, Arthur W. Pinero, March, 1899."
