Hugo Lonitz Majolica Figural Compote, Germany, third quarter 19th century, polychrome enamel decorated and modeled as a naturalistic bowl set atop a stem surrounded by three cherubs, impressed factory mark, ht. 16 1/4 in. Two hairlines to the bowl center; one of the bamboo drops to the bowl rim partially missing; numerous scattered small chips to the relief surrounding the base. One "drop" with old glue off but present.
