Archaistic Hardstone Ewer, Yi , China, 19th century, the midsection carved with taotie mask and the neck decorated with a band of upright ruyi -shaped leaves, resting on a short spreading foot, with a lipped rim and flared spout, below it a lingzhi head suspending a loose ring, with a stylized dragon handle, the cover carved with a mythical animal and stylized dragon handle, white stone with light gray inclusions, ht. 6 5/8 in.
