Inlaid Box and Walnut Lap Desk, 19th century, inlaid rectangular walnut box, with two burl ovals inlaid on the hinged lid, oval ivory escutcheon, another inlaid oval on the front with contrasting inlaid border with stringing, 6 x 11 3/4 x 6 1/8 in. , together with a lap desk with a brass plaque and stringing on the hinged cover with interior compartments, 7 3/4 x 19 3/4 x 11 1/4 in., (repair, lid slightly warped on the first, wear, crack to second).
