Federal Mahogany and Tiger and Bird's-eye Maple Veneer Long Wall Mirror Clock, attributed to Merriman, Birge & Company, Bristol, Connecticut, c. 1818-19, the scrolled crest joining square plinths with brass urn finials above a hinged door with reverse painted eglomise panel framing a white painted dial and eight-day weight-driven movement with iron plates designed by Joseph Ives above a mirror glass and lower tablet, flanked by ogee molded and reeded pilasters, (imperfections and repairs), ht. 55, wd. 19 1/2 in, dp. 5 1/2 in.
