Four-Overture Musical Box by Lecoultre, No. 3816, with flat-topped winding lever, brass bedplate and instant stop, in walnut case with red interior and rosewood lid with inlaid central motif of musical trophies and intertwined flowers and foliate scrolls of boxwood and harewood, wd. 21 3/4 in., cylinder 12 x 3 1/4 in. diam., with transfer of A.V. Bornand, Music Box Specialist, 333 - 5th Ave, Pelham 65, N.Y. Note: The movement is in good restored condition. The comb contains approximately 170 teeth, of which three have been replaced (one an early replacement), and tunes are pinned to play for just under two minutes. There are several small groups of mandoline teeth (3-5) in the treble section and parts of the bass.
