Walnut Surveyor's Compass, with 5-inch manuscript card divided 0-90 in four quadrants, eight-point rose with arrows at the outer points, fleur-de-lis at North, scrolls at the East, blued-steel needle, and shaped walnut body with large socket mount and wood cover with indistinct signature, lg. 12 in., (lacking sights, two of the thumbscrews broken off, wood split).
