Seymour, Henry Albert (1861-1938) The Reproduction of Sound . London: Tattersall, [1917]. Small octavo, in full publisher's green cloth, frontispiece portrait of Seymour, illustrated, 6 3/4 x 4 1/2 in. Seymour was Britain's leading expert on sound recording technology at the beginning of the 20th century. He is credited with introducing Edison's gramophone to his home country in 1913, and also developed his own prototype, the Superphone.
