Manuscript Leaves and Documents. Six parchment leaves inscribed by hand as follows, all in Latin: 1) a folio-format single leaf from the New Testament, second Luke, written in two columns with red and blue tracery initials, the text in black ink, in places the ink has eaten through the parchment, water stained, matted; 2) a bifolium from a folio-sized copy of the Corpus Juris Canonici , c. 13th century, Italy, in brown ink, double columns, with initials in red and blue, formerly used as binding material, still in acceptable condition; 3) and 4) two English legal documents c. 1700; 5) a large Papal prebendary document from 1539; and 6) a bifolium from a Latin Gradual or Missal, 18th century; various sizes.
